I've read and enjoyed two of Andrew Ives' previous books featuring Karen, the tenacious and ingenious sleuth. Here she is again, and again the author doesn't disappoint.With the end of the earth possibly being nigh, animal rights activists attacking a research laboratory and vicious indestructible ants overtaking the country, there's plenty of action. Karen needs all her resourcefulness to deal with the dangers encountered during her investigations, while her vile slob of a boyfriend Nathan is enjoying himself in a virtual world of virtually willing nubile girls.
The action moves between London, rural England, Ireland and Italy, and the intricate plot will keep readers on their toes. As in the author's previous books there is some deliciously understated humour. Another good read from Mr. Ives.
